Blue skies, blue sea and some 1.4 million avid spectators witnessed the spectacular final race of the 2009 Red Bull Air Race World Championship, proudly sponsored by SEAT. Britain’s Paul Bonhomme surprised defending champion Hannes Arch of Austria by winning the final face off, in an aerobatic display marked by high-octane competition and nerves of steel. An ecstatic Bonhomme, who had finished second in the 2007and 2008 seasons, finally grabbed first place summing 67 championship points, followed by Arch, Australia’s Matt Hall and USA’s Kirby Chambliss.
