2004, the year of our "New SEAT" consolidation: With the world premiere of the SEAT Altea at the Geneva Motor Show a new era officially begins for our brand.

In March, we hold our first ever Open Day at our Martorell plant with more than 41,000 visitors.

This year is also the 20th anniversary of the SEAT Ibiza, with over 3.3 million units produced since its launch in 1984. The SEAT range is expanded with two new sporty versions of the SEAT Ibiza: the FR in January and the CUPRA in June. With 160 hp under the bonnet, the SEAT Ibiza CUPRA has the most powerful diesel engine in our range to that date.
