A radical new approach built on a solid base of specialised experience. *Excluding the staff of our Technical Centre The current SEAT stable includes three raging thoroughbreds: the ALTEA, the IBIZA and the LEON. Two stylish powerhouses: the TOLEDO and the CORDOBA. A family sports MPV: the ALHAMBRA. And a hot round-towner: the AROSA. Two thirds of production is exported, mainly to Europe, but also to over 70 countries on five continents. New cars call for new approaches. And it goes without saying that extensive R & D is a vital part of creating these machines. Over 1,250 highly qualified people are at work at the SEAT Technical Centre in Martorell, Spain. Their one task: to ensure that SEAT burns a new path in the world of exciting sporty cars. Inaugurated by His Majesty King Juan Carlos I in 1993, the Martorell plant is the beating heart of the firm and one of the most advanced production facilities in Europe. The figures speak for themselves: 436.933 units produced in 2003. For 2004: 416,381 vehicles produced at SEAT's Martorell plant. 458,464 SEAT Brand vehicles produced. 455,351 Wholesales of new vehicles. 442,088 SEAT Brand retail sales. Net sales: 5,862 milion Euros. After tax result: 145 million Euros.
