Created to showcase SEAT's goal of fusing sporty details into an awe inspiring, rule breaking whole, the new SEAT Altea embodies Unconventional Design. It's a car that has always defied traditional car design rules - The sleek aggressive frontal stance, the unique dynamic body line, the exceptional embodiment of function and form; they all serve to make the new SEAT Altea as practical as it is unconventional. Investing so much passion and attitude into the design of a single car has not been for the sake of looks alone. In addition to expressing a competitive driving attitude, the new SEAT Altea's design defines a new car segment - The Multi Sports Vehicle. Its unconventional form allows the new SEAT Altea to provide the spacious interior and roomy, flexible luggage compartment of a large vehicle, while retaining the dynamic handling and performance characteristics of a smaller sports car. Finally, space and flexibility wrapped up in pure street racer attitude. Central to the new SEAT Altea's design philosophy is the use of the Dynamic Line. First seen on concept cars like the Salsa, Tango and of course, the Altea Prototype, this powerful, sweeping contour reflects our maverick nature while providing a symbol that sets us apart. Creating a graceful, robust and highly dynamic arch from the rear wheel to the nose of the car, this powerful line that has been partially integrated on some of the current production models will soon evolve into the dominant contour on all of our future models.
