 While the SEAT Leon Ecomotive may produce a planet-friendly 119 g of CO2 emissions per kilometre it certainly doesn’t skimp on performance taking you from standing to 100 km/h in a mere 10.9 seconds and boasting a top speed of 186 km/h.

Not forgetting its super-efficient 105 hp 1.9 TDI engine, giving it unparalleled fuel consumption. This beast can travel 100 km on only 3.9 litres of fuel allowing it to cover a mind-boggling 1,500 km without having to stop to refuel.

Cutting emissions and maximising economy is important to us here at SEAT, but we also believe that reducing emissions shouldn’t come at the expense of your driving pleasure.

New Alhambra Ecomotive


The Alhambra makes us think of a family car – safety, space and comfort – but here at SEAT we wanted to go a step further to add care for the environment. This was all the Alhambra Ecomotive needed to make it an even better car.

Its 140 hp 2.0 TDI engine produces just 159 g/km of CO2 emissions, making it the greenest car in its class. How did we manage it? First of all, we reduced fuel consumption by fitting the engine with an electronic fuel injection system. Then we added a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) to reduce the emission of harmful particles. And finally we used tyres with reduced friction and increased the gear change ratios.

These four steps were essential to make the Alhambra Ecomotive the perfect solution in every sense.
