Since the World Touring Car Championship of 2008 kicked off in March, the SEAT pilots have been showing brilliant team work and been racing their massively successful SEAT Leon TDIs from strength to strength on three different occasions: Brazil was the first stop of the season – where two out of three effortless wins went straight to the glorious SEAT five, with Yvan Muller and Rickard Rydell finishing first and second in the first race and Gabriele Tarquini winning the second race. Second stop: Mexico – where the SEAT team achieved what it would so far only ever have dreamt of. Not only did a SEAT Leon TDI cross the finishing line first in two of the three races, but the second race was won by Tiago Monteiro – with all of his four team mates in tow, leaving the remaining racers swallow the dust of a total SEAT victory. Third and so far most challenging stop: Valencia – where the SEAT five could not achieve a win, but covered second and third place in the first race and scored several solid points to defend their overall pole position. The French track of Pau was the forth stop of the WTCC, and a multiple accident after the start of the first race as well as unpredictable weather conditions and weight differences to the competitor’s vehicles demanded total concentration from the SEAT Five who fought hard for their leading position. The SEAT Team finished both races with three pilots on the podium.Nobody said it would be easy.
