We are here to help you.

Updating every customer’s SEAT is our utmost priority.

Taking care of our customers is our number-one priority. That’s why Volkswagen AG has worked non-stop to find a technical solution for SEAT vehicles with an EA189 diesel engine involved in the NOx incident. We are pleased to inform you that we are now implementing the solution for all vehicles involved.

We would like to invite you to make an appointment with an official SEAT Service Center for the implementation of the software update completely free of charge.

We would also like to clarify that all new SEAT cars equipped with EU6 engines are not involved in this issue. None of the cars that SEAT currently manufactures has the EA189 engine. In any case, please rest assured that all SEAT cars conform to the highest possible technical and safety standards.

The VIN Number.

What is my VIN number?

Your VIN number is simply a string of 17 letters and numbers that is unique to your car. It lets us know if your car needs an update.

How do I find my VIN number?

The easiest way to find it is by standing outside the car on the driver’s side, and look at your steering wheel through the windscreen. You will see it there, etched into the windscreen.

How else can I find my VIN number?

Your VIN can also be found by simply checking Section E of your Registration Certificate. As it is the Vehicle Identification Number, it is completely unique to your car.
