SEAT MÓ & urban sports culture.

SEAT MÓ reinforces its commitment to the most urban events of the year as it continues its official sponsorship of both Madrid Urban Sports and Extreme Barcelona. The two unique competitions combine the most awe-inspiring urban sporting action on a huge stage. SEAT MÓ has urban culture at its foundation and the continued collaboration will help grow the appeal of both urban mobility and the growing culture of urban sport.

SEAT MÓ takes philosophy of faster, easier & sustainable mobility into urban sports.

SEAT MÓ aims to deliver a better multimodal mobility service that is accessible, easier, more ecological and sustainable. As part of its business, it offers e-kick scooters (SEAT MÓ 25 & SEAT MÓ 65), e-scooters (SEAT MÓ 125) for private customers, as well as shared services (SEAT MÓ MÓtosharing). And now it’s spreading its message at some of the most exciting urban sports events.

Madrid Urban Sports kicks off from the 10th June and runs until the 12th June. All the Olympic urban sport disciplines will be on display at the second edition of this huge event. Over 48,000 people poured into the centre of Madrid to enjoy the very best international urban sports competitions and Olympic athletes in 2021.

And later in the year SEAT MÓ heads back to Extreme Barcelona to be part of the adrenaline filled event that brings kick scooter, skate, BMX and breakdancing to the streets of SEAT’s home. The event runs from the 16th to the 18th September.

It’s an exciting part of SEAT MÓ’s work that also includes activations with four exciting content creators of the urban sports world, including Danny León, the Spanish skateboarding star and Olympic athlete.

SEAT MÓ now the official sponsor of both Madrid Urban Sports & Extreme Barcelona.

“Just as SEAT MÓ is determined to expand its reach and spread the message that accessible, easier, more ecological and sustainable mobility solutions are available, we also want to support the culture and sports that are deeply rooted in urban environment,” says Lucas Casasnovas, SEAT MÓ Director. “And what better way to achieve those goals than to collaborate with these incredibly exciting, audacious events: Madrid Urban Sports and Extreme Barcelona.”

Since its launch nearly two years ago SEAT MÓ has expanded its range of mobility services, collaborating with companies including MERLIN Properties, the Hotel Mandarin Oriental Barcelona and the Hotel ME Sitges TERRAMAR.

SEAT MÓ is also working with the Greek island of Astypalea as part of its “Smart & Sustainable Island” project, delivering the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 and working towards improving mobility while helping reduce the total number of vehicles on the island through electrification and ride and vehicle sharing initiatives.

SEAT MÓ’s success continues with more than 100,000 downloads of the SEAT MÓ motosharing app. And it’s thanks to this app developed by SEAT:CODE, that it has become one of the leading motosharing operators in Barcelona, and is constantly looking to grow, becoming a core element of the future mobility landscape.

The benefits are clear. In its first year, the motosharing service avoided the emission of approximately 60 tons of CO2, reduced noise in cities by 4.5 million decibels and has saved SEAT MÓ users an average of 30 minutes/day on their journeys around the Barcelona. In fact, SEAT MÓ motorcycles have traveled over 200,000km, the equivalent of going around the earth five times or halfway to the moon.
