Fernando Salvador (Madrid, 1969) has been appointed new global Head of Product and Events Communications at SEAT. Salvador, who until now was responsible for Communications at SEAT Spain, will report to Christian Stein, SEAT's general director for Communications and Institutional Relations.
Salvador is replacing Fabian Simmer, who is leaving the company to join KTM Group. In turn, Carlos de Luis, until now Head of Electric Mobility in the Institutional Relations area of SEAT and the Volkswagen Group in Spain, will lead Communications for SEAT Spain. These changes will take effect on 1st February.
An industrial technician engineer by training, Salvador has spent practically his entire professional career at SEAT. He joined the Process Engineering area in July 1991 and later worked in Product Marketing. In 1999 he joined the Communications area, where he was responsible for SEAT's Product communication until 2010 when he became the head of Communications for SEAT at the Spanish market.
Salvador returns to the company's global Communications area as SEAT's electric offensive gets under way, with six electric models to be launched by early 2021. Furthermore, 2020 will be the year of the new generation SEAT Leon, which will be unveiled on January 28th. The area led by Salvador is responsible for all international product communications and the organisation of press events.
Furthermore, Carlos de Luis (Barcelona, 1973) has a degree in Economics from the University of Valladolid and has worked for the SEAT, Volkswagen and Audi brands in different Marketing and Communications areas since he joined the Group in 1999. In his new position he will report to SEAT Spain Managing Director, Mikel Palomera.
