Knee Airbag

The knee airbag is one of the latest innovations that have appeared as a result of accident research. The safety features of SEAT cars are given the finishing touch by a knee airbag on the driver's side.

The module covers the lower part of the dashboard below the steering column and in a frontal collision protects the area of the driver's knees and legs from serious injury.

In addition, the thighs and the pelvis are held back when the knee airbag is deployed. This ensures that in a collision the driver does not slide out under the belt, but rather is ideally protected by the seat belt and the front airbag while sitting in an upright position. As an indirect result, the strain on the chest is reduced by this restraint system.
